This week the Faculty spotlight is on Mr. Dombkowski. Mr. Dombkowski teaches Math at HHS. He also serves as a Beta Club and Gaming Club sponsor. Thank you Mr. Dombkowski for all you do for students at HHS.

Highland High School Beta held it's annual induction ceremony this evening. Congratulations to the new inductees, and thank you to Mr. Dombkowski and Mrs. Schaeffer.

Congratulations to senior Corey Eheart for being selected to the Region V All-Region First Jazz Band on bass guitar. Corey's accomplishment qualifies him to audition for the All-State Jazz Band in February.
Elementary students visited the High School today to tour the Science Lab and Observatory. Mrs. Asberry and the Teacher Cadet students led the tour.
This week the faculty spotlight is on Mrs. Duncan. She has taught at Highland in the Middle School for 11 years. This is her first year in the High School. She teaches Algebra 1.She has a Bachelors and a Masters degree and is working on her Curriculum Specialist Degree.
The next ACT will be given on Dec. 14. Late registration is due by Nov. 22. See Mrs. Mahaffey for details.

Highland High School has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy at the U of A as a school that is beating the odds. HHS received the award "Beating the Odds" High Math Growth: High School Level (Northeast Region)
